38 year old Kurt Warner led the Arizona Cardinals to a stunning 30-17 victory over the Minnesota Vikings Sunday night. Warner threw for 283 yards, and threw 3 touchdown passes.
“They played like they were in the Super Bowl last year,” Vikings quarterback Brett Favre said, referring to the Cardinals after the game. “We obviously have to play better if we want to be the team that’s in the Super Bowl this year.”
Favre, appearing in his record breaking 283rd consecutive game appearances had a dissapointing 2 interceptions. He had only 3 total interceptions in his last 11 games. Favre went 30 of 45 for 235 passing yards. Two passes resulted in touchdowns. The second touchdown pass came in the final 1:20 of the fourth quarter, and did not leave the Vikings enough time to score again.
UPDATE: Vikings linebacker E.J. Henderson broke a leg during a tackle attempt and will most likely be out the rest of the season.
